New Car Preparation
New car preparation removes transport and dealer residue, documents defects, and prepares the finish for protection instead of assuming a new vehicle is already flawless.
Before you book
What to know about new car preparation
The exact products and steps vary by vehicle and provider, but a professional service usually follows this pattern.
How it typically works
- Inspect paint, trim, glass, and interior under useful lighting
- Wash and decontaminate transport and storage residue
- Correct agreed defects, perform final preparation, and install selected protection
Results and limitations
The vehicle should start ownership clean, documented, and protected to the selected level.
Factory and dealer defects vary. Paint correction and film or coating installation should be scoped separately rather than assumed to be included.
Ask the detailer to inspect your vehicle and confirm the scope, expected improvement, price, and cure or drying time before work begins.
