Wet Sanding
Wet sanding is an advanced leveling process used selectively for severe paint defects, texture, sanding marks, or isolated damage before machine refinement.

How it typically works
- Measure and inspect the finish, then define a conservative target
- Level the area with lubricated, fine abrasive paper or discs
- Compound and polish to restore clarity, then protect
Results and limitations
When the paint has enough material, wet sanding can improve defects that ordinary polishing cannot address.
It permanently removes more finish than polishing and carries significant risk. Thin paint, edges, and defects through the color coat may be unsuitable.
