This Privacy Policy explains how FindMyDetail LLC (“FindMyDetail,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit findmydetail.com, create an account, or use our directory and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

FindMyDetail helps people locate independent auto-detailing businesses and request quotes from participating detailers. We do not perform detailing services.

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: first and last name, email address, account type, account identifiers, and authentication records. Passwords are processed by our authentication provider and are not available to us in readable form.
• Location and search information: a city, state, or ZIP code you enter; services and provider types you select; and an approximate city, region, latitude, and longitude inferred from your internet connection to show nearby detailers. This is IP-based approximate location, not your device’s precise GPS location.
• Quote request information: vehicle year, make, model, color, general service location, requested services, condition descriptions, photographs, quote responses, estimated prices, timing, and the request’s status.
• Marketplace contact information: the email address, phone number, and preferred contact method you provide with a quote request. This information is kept separate from the browseable request and is made available to the detailer whose quote you accept.
• Communications: information you include when you email us, request a correction, ask for support, or exercise a privacy right.
• Technical and usage information: internet protocol address, browser and device information, pages requested, referring page, timestamps, diagnostic data, and security or access logs generated when the Service is used.
• Detailer and business information: business name, contact information, service area, website, offered services, provider type, ratings or review counts, and other listing information provided by a business, obtained from public sources, or supplied by third-party sources.

Please do not send us sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account details, health information, or precise location information, unless we specifically request it for a stated purpose.

• Directly from you when you create an account, search, post or respond to a quote request, upload photographs, or contact us.
• Automatically from your browser, device, and our hosting and security providers.
• From detailers, their authorized representatives, public websites and business directories, and other lawful public or third-party sources.

• Operate, maintain, and improve the directory, quote marketplace, and account features.
• Show relevant services and detailers near an approximate or entered location.
• Display open vehicle requests to eligible detailer accounts, deliver quotes to request owners, and release request contact details to the accepted detailer.
• Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and prevent fraud or misuse.
• Respond to questions, listing corrections, privacy requests, and other communications.
• Verify, update, organize, and display detailer listing information.
• Debug problems, monitor performance, protect the Service, and enforce our Terms of Use.
• Comply with law, resolve disputes, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: vendors that provide hosting, authentication, databases, infrastructure, security, communications, and technical support. Our current core providers include Vercel and Supabase.
• At your direction: when you choose to call, email, visit, or otherwise interact with a detailer or third-party website.
• Quote marketplace participants: vehicle details, general location, photographs, requested work, and other posting content are visible to eligible signed-in detailers. Quote responses are visible to the request owner and the detailer who submitted them. When an owner accepts a quote, the accepted detailer can access the owner’s marketplace contact information.
• Public directory information: detailer listing information is intended to be publicly visible. Information you later choose to post publicly through the Service may also be visible to anyone.
• Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect users, the public, or the Service; investigate fraud or abuse; or enforce our agreements.
• Business changes: in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where applicable.
• Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, insurers, and other advisers who need the information to provide services to us.

We do not currently sell personal information for money or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We also do not currently use third-party advertising networks on the Service.

To make the directory useful on arrival, our hosting platform may infer an approximate city, region, latitude, and longitude from your IP address. FindMyDetail uses that approximation to rank nearby listings. You may replace it by entering another city, state, or ZIP code.

FindMyDetail does not currently request browser GPS permission or write IP-inferred coordinates to your user profile or our directory database. Our hosting and security providers may retain IP addresses and related request data in their logs under their own retention practices.

Quote requests use the city, state, and ZIP code that you enter. Do not include a street address or other precise location in a request description or photograph. You may provide contact details separately for release to an accepted detailer.

The Service may use cookies or browser storage that are necessary for account sessions, security, and basic operation. We do not currently use advertising cookies or permit advertising networks to track your activity across unrelated websites through FindMyDetail.

Because there is no uniform standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Service does not currently respond differently to those signals. Where legally required and technically applicable, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is presently no such sale or sharing to opt out of.

Other websites you visit through a listing may collect information under their own privacy policies. FindMyDetail does not control those websites or their tracking practices.

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing an account, maintaining the directory, meeting legal or accounting obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting the Service. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it is needed.

If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or de-identify covered information unless we need to retain it for a lawful reason. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or provider systems before being overwritten under normal retention cycles.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting access to your account and email.

You may update information you have provided by using available account tools or contacting us. Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to learn about certain disclosures; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; and to appeal a denied request.

Submit a request to info@findmydetail.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” For an appeal, use the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Detailers and business representatives may use the same address to request correction or removal of listing information. We may ask for reasonable proof that you own or are authorized to represent the business.

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate. Accounts may be created only by people who are at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.

FindMyDetail is based in the United States and the Service is designed for the U.S. market. If you access it from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your location.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice when required, such as a prominent website notice or an email to account holders.
